Mental Health is a difficult topic to talk about.  Talking about how you feel is very difficult and we have only just hit the tip of the iceberg with regards to mental health awareness in Ireland.  However, it’s important to remember that everyone has mental health and it varies.  On this page, we will talk about mental health and give you some useful links to mental health services in Waterford.

What is Mental Health?

Mental Health is a focus on a person’s mental well-being-how you feel emotionally on a day-to-day basis.  It is very important to look after your mental health and being able to talk about if you are feeling down.  Remember, recognising that you have mental health issues is not a bad thing, it’s a sign of strength that you want to be a better version of yourself on the inside.  There are loads of really great people who want to listen to you and will help you get to a place where you feel happy.

There is a wide variety of mental health issues: from depression and anxiety, to schizophrenia and eating disorders. No matter which one you may have, know that there is someone out there who will be there for you in your time of need.
