Sleep plays an important role in all aspects of your life, without sleep your body finds it almost impossible to function leaving you drained and unmotivated.
Here are some of the main effects of sleep deprivation
- Limit your ability to learn, listen, concentrate and solve problems. You may even forget important information like names, numbers or your homework, making school life that small bit more challenging.
- Make you more prone to pimples. Lack of sleep can contribute to acne and other skin problems. Instead of spending all your money on expensive skin care products try get a good nights sleep!
- Lead to aggressive or inappropriate behavior such as yelling at your friends or being impatient with your teachers or family members. Naturally it’s normal for a teenager to be stressed or feel as if you’re under pressure but a good nights sleep could really help and maybe even reduce your stress levels.
- Cause you to eat too much or eat unhealthy foods like sweets and fried foods that lead to weight gain. Let’s be honest no one wants this! Getting enough sleep can really motivate you and encourage you to look after yourself!
